    About Us

NMHRP’s mission is to teach the fundamental importance of human rights and respect for others by offering unique educational opportunities that encourage, inspire, and empower both students and teachers to work toward a more peaceful world.

Since 1995, NMHRP has provided experiential programs that promote respect for diversity in our community and encourage a more peaceful society. Designed for New Mexico middle and high school students, teachers, school counselors and social workers and the general public, these programs have reached nearly 300,000 people. Our programs have included teacher training workshops, a speaker bureau, international exhibits, and peer education training. Currently, NMHRP is focused exclusively on our partnership with the Berlin, Germany based Kreisau Initiative's Mock International Criminal Courts (MICC) held annually in Krzyzowa, Poland. This innovative collaboration introduces New Mexico high-school students to their peers from Poland, Germany and Israel to develop the next generation of human rights leaders.
