Young people make their own film clips on the dilemmas that arise within their communities. Under the guidance of professional educators, they write their own scripts, conduct research, and interview people on the street. The films serve as a point of departure for a debate on Human Rights.

New Mexico Human Rights Projects (NMHRP) is the only non-profit organization in the state providing unique, hands-on programs that engage students intellectually and emotionally to think about the choices they make when confronted with prejudice, racism, violence and discrimination. NMHRP seeks to challenge our most basic understanding of human nature and encourage youth to be more respectful, compassionate and empathic human beings.
